PND’s first headlining tour Kicked off earlier this week in Canada, and last night it made its way to Manhattan’s SOBs, and it was likely the biggest show of this year’s CMJ Festival. Everyone from Hot 97’s miss info and Ebro to A$AP Ferg, Mack Wilds, Rita Ora, Melanie Fiona, J. Cole, and even Chris Tucker were on hand to watch the OVO Sound singer’s debut in New York City.
After running through a variety of medleys and songs from his first two projects, Drake – who was also in attendance (where, coincidentally, he would have his own coming-out show at the venue during his So Far Gone days a few years ago) – celebrated his birthday a few hours early by joining PND on stage to perform their collab “Recognize.”
While his live performance is still at its rawest stage, PARTYNEXTDOOR definitely shows the promise of being the next big thing from the OVO camp. Below you can watch another clip of the performance, a fan’s view perspective of the occasion, where you can properly witness the madness that erupted when Drake hit the stage.
