In the second portion of her CRWN interview, Nicki Minaj is really feeling herself. After getting her emotions out with talks of her ex, and Lil Wayne bouncing from Cash Money in part one, the second part of the interview finds Nicki sharing her creative process. She details how “Monster” came about and speaks on working with Eminem, Kanye, and Beyoncé.
The most interesting portion comes at 18:00 mark when the topic of animated flows come up.
Apparently, in Nicki’s clouded mind, she was “shunned” from the industry for using animated flows, but when others – pinpointing Kendrick Lamar (who she thinks may or may not have been influenced by her) on some “no offense, but…” ish – do it, they’re praised for it.
My head hurts.
