When the announcement of LL’s G.O.A.T. 2 was revealed (“It’s an album for the gutter“), one (me) would expect a reprise of Mama Said Knock You Out or 14 Shots To The Dome.
With the latest single, “Know Your Name” featuring young up and coming R&B singer Jeremy Austin from New Brunswick, NJ – it doesn’t seem that way. In LL’s defense, he did mention that the album is “current and it’s relevant to now. I always tell people, “Sometimes you gotta take your 1995 high school ring off.””
Sorry if I sound selfish, but I wanna hear an entire album from LL on some “Buckin’ Em Down'” sh*t.
