John Legend & Common Win Golden Globe For ‘Best Original Song’

blame it on JES7 January 11, 2015

The 72nd Golden Globes are currently underway, but we don’t really give two sh*ts about the Golden Globes in the same way we could care less about all the other majority-run award shows every year. So if you want a recap of the show, watch it on TV or just Google it when they’re over.

We would, however, like to congratulate both John Legend and Common for snatching up a Golden Globe for Best Original Song. The two artists/songwriters beat out nominees Lorde, Lana Del Rey, Patti Smith and Sia with their recording of “Glory,” as featured on the Selma soundtrack.

Watch their speech after being awarded by none other than Prince, above.
