Back in 2009, one Nasir collaborated with the Beastie Boys on the (original version) of “Too Many Rappers,” released digitally as well as on vinyl.
Two years later, the single re-appeared on the Beastie Boys’ eighth studio LP, Hot Sauce Committee Part Two, re-branded as the “New Reactionaries” version.
Today, thanks to some clever Beastie Boys fans, a previously unreleased visual for the song was leaked to the internets. Digging further, it appears the video was directed by Roman Coppola (yes, son of Francis Ford Coppola) and distributed through Adam Yauch’s Oscilloscope Laboratories. Props to Pitchfork on the find.
