
Nevermind the name; it was quick to almost turn me away as well. A friend recently put me on to The Bronx native Bobby Generic, and he actually provided an explanation on his moniker:
“I feel like in today’s music, what’s “generic” can become dangerous because our overall standards for rappers are so low, but if a new higher standard is set, what becomes “generic” is actually healthy. I’m here to ignite a fire that’s safe for replicating.”
