Drake Says He May Enter Battle Rap Scene One Day

blame it on JES7 February 8, 2015

During a press conference for the King of the Dots: Blackout 5 event, Drake – who put up $10,000 of his own money for the main event winners – spoke about why he hasn’t entered the battle rap pool yet.

Drizzy mentioned the tie-ins with “corporate stuff” and other obligations are what prevents him from stepping foot in the arena, but toys with the possibility of it in the future, stating “I don’t know if Mook deserves it.” The latter was in response to a back-and-forth between Mook when Drake allegedly stated he’d duke it out with the Harlem battle rap vet.

The event, which popped off last night, saw a who’s who in the battling circuit go head-to-head in Toronto. For updates on the event/winners, head to BattleRap.
