So everybody’s taking songs from back in the day and repurposing them for the current generation, I see. Today alone The GZA took over “The Mexican” while Snoh Aalegra reimagined “Verbal Intercourse” while CyHi The Prynce has been remaking bouncy versions of Cheryl Lynn’s “Got To Be Real” and Jodeci’s “Forever My Lady.” And now, the LA duo just turned Blackstreet’s please-baby-please anthem “Don’t Leave Me” for a sexed-up party jam with DUBB and Karina, which you can hear below.
