If you’re a die hard Boyz II Men, you may be in for a surprise when you hit play on their latest visual. Straying away from their standard R&B sound, the Boyz seem to have taken on a new, indie/pop sound in “Already Gone.”
It’s a vastly big change in sound, in contrast to newer music from their peers, including Jodeci, who sound as fresh as they did back in the 90s.
I honestly don’t know what to make of this. On one hand, I listen to lots of indie-rock/pop albums, but to hear it from a band you grew up on, and knowing the universal, legendary music their known for is a little, well off-putting. Others may disagree. No hate here though.
