Brooklyn based instrumentalist Sly 5th Ave is back with his The Clubcasa Chamber Orchestra. After delivering solid covers of Kendrick Lamar’s “B*tch Don’t Kill My Vibe” and Rihanna’s “Pour It Up,” the talented artist who has worked with Prince returns with his rendition of Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk.”
While Mark’s sound is pretty much unbeatable, Sly & his crew inject new life, adding a few touches of some afrobeat fusion into the mix. And yes, for the collectors, this will be pressed on colored 7″ vinyl real soon.
