As you may or may not know, De La Soul – legendary group, influential rappers and, for Maseo, father to a budding NFL star – have taken to Kickstarter to fund their new album, easily surpassing their pledged goal. As they continue to work on the project, they’ve unveiled what they consider an “appetizer” that actually won’t make the project, with Nas anchoring the end.
If this is what their crowd-funded project will sound like, then De La Soul can just shut up and take my money already.
