Although you hear J. Cole on the official version of “Planes,” Jeremih had a slightly different plan for the single last year. As you may remember, fellow Chicago native Chance the Rapper was originally supposed to be featured – we even got a preview of the track during a secret concert at DePaul University. You know how it goes though.. seasons change, and mad things rearrange.
Lucky for us, Chance decided to jump in the studio with producer Lido, Donnie Trumpet and The Social Experiment to give the track some new life, and unearth his “lost” verse in the process.
