This weekend in New York was pretty eventful, to say the least. After Drake closed out his Jungle Tour, over 50,000 people swarmed to New Jersey’s MetLie Stadium to catch Hot 97’s annual SummerJam. After the festival stage hosted the likes of Fetty Wap, DeJ Loaf, Joey Bada$$, Teyana Taylor, Travi$ Scott, B.o.B and others Omarion, Ty Dolla $ign, Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Fabolous, Kendrick Lamar, Meek Mill, Big Sean Troy Ave and Fetty held service on the main stage.
The clear “winner” of SummerJam was Fabolous, whose “And Friends” set included appearances from Method Man, Redman, Remy Ma, Fat Joe, The Lox, Ma$e, Busta Rhymes, Lil Kim, Mobb Deep, Black Rob and French Montana. That did not take away from Fetty Wap or Travi$’ respective sets, however, who each garnered boisterous reactions from the crowd during their performances.
