As much as I appreciate Rome Fortune’s penchant for having creatively provocative album covers (Exhibit A; Exhibit B; Exhibit C), it’s his knack for dropping equally enjoyable songs that I value more. Recently working with fellow Atlanta firecracker OG Maco (for Yep) and Two-9 member CeeJ (for loloU), Romey-Rome – and his trademark colorful beard – is back with a new cut that eschews the typical Southern-leaning BPMs for a Four Tet-produced track that’s more boom-bap than trap-or-die.
Rome also recently revealed a new app, which will – among other things – literally put a blue beard on your face. Definitely check that out when you can.
