My current favorite hip hop group, OverDoz., recently revealed their long-awaited collaboration with Skateboard P, “Last Kiss.” A summery bounce of funk this side of One Way and drenched in Los Angeles vibes, the single has only raised expectations for their major-label debut 2008 which is tentatively slated to drop sometime in 2015.
A longtime supporter of the Southern California-reared foursome, Pharrell was finally able to get in the studio with OverDoz., resulting in an upbeat and funky sound not unlike his recent work with Snoop Dogg BUSH. Now, OD takes you inside that studio session with their new episode of BTV! where the five share their creative energies (Pharrell even makes a joke about the song’s Snoop connection), draft the rhymes and melodies, and ultimately create the song.
