Just like Roc Marciano and Sean Price, we will support anything Oddisee does.

As Shake mentioned some time ago, we’ve all been fans of the Diamond District emcee since before 2dopeboyz launched (in 2007).

Besides being extremely talented both behind the boards and a microphone – Oddisee gives off a positive energy that is magnetic, and his vibrations are felt in the physical realm – whether that is given off through his music or interviews. It’s hard to find talent that lies within a person like Oddisee, who still remains humble.

I digress. Jakarta Records signee Juju Rogers knows what we know, and it’s apparent as the two hit it off with a newfound chemistry when they met while Oddisee was staying at Jakarta Records label commander Jannis Stürtz’s pad.

“In 2013 Oddisee was staying at the spare room of my flat for a month or so working on music. Around that [same] time Juju was our first intern,” Stürtz told Okayplayer. “They got to know one another, enjoyed hanging out together and ended up recording the song.”

The result is the cinematic “Dreams” which you can stream below. If you dig what you hear and are a fan of Juju, head over to his Bandcamp and pre-order From The Life of a Good-For-Nothing (out July 3rd).
