This shouldn’t come as a shocker to anybody who knows me personally: I’m a huge fan of one Blitz The Ambassador. Combining his boom-bap sensibilities with his African pride and ancestral roots, Blitz has made some of the most excitingly innovative music I’ve heard in quite some time. His previous single, “JuJu Girl,” was an amazing exhibition in Afrobeat perfection, which has only raised my personal expectations for Blitz’ forthcoming new album Diasporadical.
The Ghanaian spitter has returned with a new offering from that project, a video that juxtaposes the beauty of the African heritage with an interesting storyline that I’d prefer you watch over me explain. Blink and you may miss Blitz randomly pop up throughout the clip as well. Watch above.
