Anderson .Paak‘s bravado has been on display for much of the last year since releasing Venice, with features on tracks from Jonwayne to DJ Premier and linking with Knxwledge to form NxWorries. On his latest self-produced release, he puts the outgoing ego aside on “Switch-Up.”
Still bringing his smooth and sensual thoughts to the track, .Paak dials it down a tone to gain a deeper intimacy with his partner, teaching her “lessons from the Kama Sutra.” The muddled bass and floating, funky guitars create a bodily soundscape for him and his girl. It’s time his and her love lives get a “switch-up.”
