Matt Monday has scattered loosies across the Internet since his Return the Fifth mixtape in November, and the emcee’s latest single, “Devils,” continues that stretch.
Starring in his own version of the Nashville, Tennessee, sit-in at a diner, Monday’s world has blacks as the power with the whites trying to gain equal rights. Referring to the song and his rhymes, Monday says, “It’s an execution.” Yet, in the visual, the protest ends the way so many did in segregated America: an execution.
