A couple of weeks ago, we premiered the fun video for B. Dolan’s hungry, desperate “Jailbreak,” the first single off his then-upcoming album, Kill the Wolf. With the album set to release Friday, we get to stream it early.
Spanning 11 tracks, the album is full of distorted guitars, loud drums and synthesizers, reminding me a bit of a cross between the Beastie Boys (songs like “No Sleep ‘Til Brooklyn”) and Kid Rock, if you know, Kid Rock had any sort of flow and talent. Carrying deep metaphors of trying to climb to the top of the food chain, B. Dolan explores themes of war, jail, friendships, death and more throughout the emotional album.
