Now that July has arrived, the release of the upcoming Jake Gyllenhaal-starring boxing flick Southpaw is right around the corner. Hitting theaters on the 23rd, the official soundtrack will impact the following day. We heard Eminem’s “Phenomenal” last month, and now we have the second (and final) Em track from the OST.
With No Doubt’s Gwen Stefani riding shotgun and DJ Khalil manning the boards once again, “Kings Never Die” falls in line with everything you’ve come to expect from Eminem in 2015. A stadium-inspired anthemic record with massive pop appeal, a highly technical delivery with lyrics you can appreciate – but there’s still something missing.
