For as many accomplishments hip hop has achieved in 2015, there’s almost as many tragedies that seem to quasi-morbidly balance them out.

This weekend marked the passing of yet another rap veteran: Bruce Washington Jr., better known as Hussein Fatal from The Outlawz. Best known as a member from the 2Pac-fronted group, Fatal died in a tragic car accident on July 11th. While there has been no other details surrounding the unfortunate incident, THe Outlawz took to Twitter to confirm his death:

The group also set up a GoFundMe page for those who would like to help support the family he left behind as well cover some of his funeral costs.

You want to know the sad thing about all of this? That Fatal was yet another unfortunate person related to 2Pac who passed. If you recall, Yaki Kadafi was killed at the age of 19 in 1996, almost two months to the day that Pac died.

I didn’t really follow Fatal’s career post-2Pac, however one of my favorite West Coast songs ever came from him in the form of “Everyday.”

The Outlawz are now down to just E.D.I. Mean and Young Noble. Peace, blessings and my condolences to them, the family of Hussein Fatal, and his friends.
