Just a couple a of months ago, Sir Michael Rocks confirmed there wouldn’t a a reunion of The Cool Kids, who haven’t released a project together since 2010’s Tacklebox. They’ve produced for Asher Roth, Pac Div and others since, but the two as a duo have been rather mum. Today, Chuck Inglish and Sir Michael return, but not as The Cool Kids, but rather as Chuck & Mike on “Super Squad.”
The two creep over the ominous production, with Chuck’s deep voice making the vibe of the self-produced cut that much more rugged. The two emcees/friends rap about getting fucked up, coming together as friends and creating the wonderful songs they have. Chuck spits, “That cool? You couldn’t be without us,” and no. It’s about time these two start making tracks together again.
