It truly is amazing to realize how long CeeLo Green has been important. He helped put Outkast on with Goodie Mobb in the early 1990s, and in 2015, he’s still pumping out music. No matter how “pop” CeeLo goes, his contributions to the hip-hop world always have to be respected.

The singer’s newest song takes the pop route, though the lyrical content is more touching than generic. On “Robin Williams,” CeeLo explores losing comedic heroes like Robin Williams, Richard Pryor and John Belushi. The content has a similar vibe to Gnarls Barkley’s “Who’s Gonna Save My Soul,” where CeeLo mourned the loss of his musical hero, James Taylor.

The video for “Robin Williams” is pretty cool, despite following sad lyrics. It’s an interactive video paired with Google. Some lines of the songs get typed in a Google search bar, and links matching those words pop up. You can navigate through images, items that can be shipped and videos, as well, that match whatever the phrase is.

“Robin Williams” is off CeeLo’s upcoming Heart Blanche LP, which is set to come out by the end of 2015. Listen to the song below, and watch the video on CeeLo’s website.
