Following their debut album, PLECTRUMELECTRUM, last year, Prince and his band, 3rdEyeGirl, are set to release another by the end of the year called The Hit & Run Album.
In an interview with BBC Radio 6, Prince and the band revealed that “HARDROCKLOVER,” which was released at the beginning of July, is the album’s first single.
Regarding the album, the band said, “it’s just hit after hit and definitely caters to those fans who just love to hear what Prince has to say, rather than wanting to always hear that classic Purple Rain Prince sound.”
According to the interview, the album will also feature a version of “A 1,000 Hugs and Kisses,” a previously unreleased track which was recorded in 1992, and a new version of “This Could Be Us” from Art Official Age, Prince’s last solo album.
Mind you, this will be Prince’s 38th studio album. 38!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now that’s grinding.
