California’s Leven Kali is a bit of a mystery, but the singer introduces himself on his debut project, 4102, which is available to stream now.
Previous to the project, Kali released “C.W.Y.B.” and “Rather Be Alone” with Casey Veggies, and the multi-talented artist gives us seven additional tracks to enjoy throughout. 4102 features contributions from Thundercat, among other musicians, that help bring out Kali’s talents. The Cali singer reminds me slightly of Anderson. Paak and SiR, both of whom are from California and thrive off the laid back, synthesizer-heavy sound.
