Miami-based group ¡MAYDAY! is set to release its Future Vintage album September 18. Following the album’s first single, “Fuel to the Fire,” the group unleashes the second sound from the album, “Ten Thirty Three.”

The new single, far more ambitious and far less generic than the previous, covers topics of race relations and the advancement — or lack their of — of ideology in America. The emcees question why the same people are getting shot over racist beliefs that were around 400 years ago and why people of color are assumed guilty before proven innocent. Covering day-to-day releases throughout the hip-hop world, this topic is, and has always been, prevalent in hip-hop, but as race relations make their way into mainstream media now and again, they’re as relevant as they always should be.
