Over the past couple months, Kevin Abstract has dropped loosies that won’t appear on his upcoming album Death Of A Super Model. We know they won’t appear because they’re aptly titled that. Today, the Texas native released the fourth installment of his pre-DOASM series with “NOT ON DOASM 04.”
The loosie reminds me a bit of Marilyn Manson’s work, with distorted, chanting vocals paired with pounding bass and drums leading the instrumental. To top it off, Abstract sings demonic, twisted lyrics influenced by murder and mutilation, saying, “don’t you know they’re killing everybody around here?”
I’ve got to admit, I fuck with it. It’s somewhat catchy, and it, like 01, 02 and 03 of the NOT ON DOASM series, is completely different from anything I’ve heard from the Brockhampton cohort. Check out the romil and JOBA-produced “NOT ON DOASM 04.”
