Last week, we debuted the latest installment of SkeeTV’s Calm Before The Storm series with Mike Shinoda. In the clip, the Cali native shares insight before he takes the stage, revealing which shows make him more nervous – playing sold-out arenas with Linkin Park or more intimate performances with Fort Minor.
The centerpiece of Fort Minor’s new single “Welcome”, seen in the 360 video for the song, is a hand-painted mural made of 1000 blank vinyl jackets. Mike painted these on the public boardwalk in Venice, California. The end result: 1000 hand-painted, individually-signed vinyl jackets. Each hand-painted jacket is signed by Shinoda and accompanied by an 11″ X 6.5″ art print of the finished mural to create a one-of-a-kind experience for each fan. Note: Because each jacket is a unique piece of art, there will be variance in the design on each jacket. However, each jacket is signed and painted and/or drawn on by Shinoda.
As we stated in the original post, the DopeHouse has teamed up with Mike Shinoda to giveaway a limited-edition splatter-paint “Welcome” vinyl with a customized, hand-drawn jacket by Mike himself. The lucky winner will also be rewarded a mini-art print of the finished mural, personalized to the winner by Mike. And all you’ve gotta do to win? Visit our contest page on Lockerdome (or use the embed below) and follow the instructions.
The contest will close at 12pm PST on Friday. Good luck!
