Tonight (August 4th) actor Ryan Reynolds was a guest on Conan O’Brien’s late-night show, and in between the yakkity yak and all that other jazz the two – finally – unveiled one of the most anticipated trailers of the summer seasons: Deadpool. Originally slated to debut in the theaters for Marvel’s film reboot of Fantastic Four, the three-minute long, all-kinds-of-extra-NSFW clip can be viewed in all its glory below.

In a word: this is nuts (I know that’s three words, but still) by Marvel standards. Easily the most active film to ever come from the studio, there’s bits and pieces of gory action, sex and a myriad of cursing to make Stan Lee blush. The self-aware, tongue-in-cheek humor seems to be prevalent also, and it’s enough to make everyone forget about that terrible, terrible version fans got bamboozled with in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
February 12th, 2016 can’t come soon enough.
