James Fauntleroy – “Magic”

Not a day goes by without a new song from James Fauntleroy, apparently.

The Cali singer has added song after song to his “The Coldest Summer Ever” playlist on SoundCloud, and today we get a new song that hasn’t quite made it to the playlist yet with “Magic.”

It sounds like he sang over moody lobby music, but it actually sounds nice. It’s one of Fauntleroy’s stronger releases in his recent string of loosies. His voice isn’t muddled or distorted in any way, and his harmonies fit smoothly with the soft, simple production. This is one of Fauntleroy’s few songs I wouldn’t mind hearing more of.

The description of the song on SoundCloud says, “from the upcoming motion album 1984,” so maybe we’ll get an actual album from Fauntleroy soon instead of a SoundCloud playlist. But I’ve gotta be real, I don’t know what the fuck it means. So take the information with a grain of salt.

Listen to “Magic” below.
