It’s been a lengthy journey, but Obie Trice is finally releasing The Hangover tomorrow! Ahead of its release, the Detroit emcee surprised us with “Letter,” a song reminding himself he can’t forget the trials he’s been through.
The song won’t be featured on the album, but it’s a passionate realization that, no matter the circumstance high or low, he needs to stay true to himself. Raised by a single mother, seeing friends die in his hometown, using drugs to escape the pain – Obie’s lived and learned plenty over 37-plus years thus far. And he’s finally come to the revelation that you need to remind yourself of the past to move forward.
