Fetty Wap is on the DopeHouse every. damn. day. Yesterday alone, he made two appearances announcing his debut album and showing up on a Rita Ora remix. It’s why he’s the hottest artist in hip-hop, right alongside Drake and Future, right now, but his newest addition to his catalog is going to make some Stans angry.
The New Jersey autotune crooner took on Future’s “Trap Niggas,” and man, bold move, dude. Both artists use autotune heavy in their work, and while Fetty Wap likes to add a bit of a tune to his verses and hooks — like Drake — he’s taking Future’s flows straight from the song.
I know dude’s gotta stay poppin’, but man, taking on a dude who is probably having the best calendar year for anyone in hip-hop in recent memory, takes some guts. Now let’s see how the #FutureHive reacts…
