Goodbye Tomorrow – “The Way” (Video)

Goodbye Tomorrow’s excellent debut LP Goodbye Tomorrow: A Journey Through The Mind of a Non Believer dropped a couple weeks ago, and they follow it up with an astonishing visual for the album’s penultimate track, “The Way.”

The video follows a team common folk trying to survive and escape the clutches of the overruling power, one that sucks all of the good, color and happiness out of the world. The visual plays out like a video game, where the character is selected and followed through his youth until he leads the group trying to oppress the power. In the “final battle” scene, this boy, now grown, fights the leader of group, who realizes beforehand the boy has the power to bring color back into the world. He’s the leader of the rebels. The boy eventually lands a fist right in his mask, defeating the overlord. Game over.

The anonymous group spoke to Noisey, who premiered the visual. The artist said:

Døn͢’t givë̠̠ in͓ tø dü̠̠ality⃔. ₸he wo͛®ld i$ not sø b⃕la¢k and white͙. peÅce №t ¢om͓prømis⃒e… The concept of the video is the fucking truth…like, that’s the truth, that’s how the world actually is. It’s actually evil motherfuckers that are machine ass niggas that take you and program you.

He added more, but that’s the gist of it. Check out the visual above.
