DâM-FunK has become one of Shake’s favorite musicians of late, and it’s not difficult to see why. Like his namesake, Damon Riddick’s laid-back, Parliament/Funkadelic-inspired sound is as silky smooth as expensive bed sheets with booming basslines to match. And with his new project, Invite The Light, out now, he’s provided a funky soundtrack for many weekends to come.
But now he just ups the ante with this latest drop, a reunion of he and Nite Jewel as Nite-FunK, which is just pure aural candy to my ears. I swear, if hip hop music was more like this I’d probably be in better moods more often. Listen below.
