Angel Haze – “Moonrise Kingdom”

blame it on Patrick Glynn September 8, 2015

Detroit singer and emcee Angel Haze has had a relatively dormant 2015, but she returned last month with “Babe Ruthless” and the announcement of Back to the Woods, he new LP set to drop Monday. Angel follows up that single with a new sound from the album, “Moonrise Kingdom,” a sonically pleasing experience covering topics of youth, love and companionship. Haze and her lover’s emotions started young, but as the try to ascend to the top of the moonrise kingdom together, they experience forces trying to stop them from being great.

This song seems like it’ll blend nicely as a high point of tension within an album. We’ll ahve to see when Back to the Woods drops September 14. Listen to the TK Kayembe-produced “Moonrise Kingdom” below
