Though from Milwaukee, emcee Reggie Bonds drew strong influence from A$AP Yams, who passed early in the year. According to his SoundCloud, Bonds had a conversation with Yams three years ago, and his new song, “Long Live A$AP Yams,” is in remembrance of the moment.

Bonds showed up last month with a ridiculous flow on his “Quiet Storm” freestyle, and it’s somewhat carried over here. Obviously drawing influences from the dark tones of the A$AP crew, Bonds drops all emotion and stunts over the airy, bass-heavy production. He thinks he should be the next A$AP Yams, so let’s see if he can bring the leadership to the Milwaukee scene.
