Jay Rock reveals that Kendrick Lamar recorded a verse to the second part of “Easy Bake.”

With Jay Rock’s 90059 album dropping today, fans have been going back and forth on social media discussing their favorite song off the album. Some are in favor of the first Black Hippy posse cut in three years “Vice City” while others dig tracks where Rock goes at it alone like “Necessary” and the Tae Beast produced title track.

But one thing just about everyone agrees on is the second half of the vicious “Easy Bake” where SZA’s smooth voice glides across the West Coast thumping track. While “Easy Bake” features Kendrick Lamar on the first half, some were curious what it would have been like to hear K Dot bless the second half of the song.

Well, you may not have to wonder much longer as Jay Rock told 2DopeBoyz that the Compton emcee does indeed have a verse stashed away and it was originally meant to be a standalone song.

“Actually that second record was going to be a whole different song,” Rock revealed. “Kendrick did a verse to that too. It was going to be a whole different song for the album but I had to break everything down. We just added it on to ‘Easy Bake.’ It was a whole different song but it sound good together.”

So does that mean that there could be a remix on the way?

“You never know!” the Watts emcee proclaimed. “I might do something. I might holla at the lil homie and do the remix. Stay tuned.”
