After what has seemed like eons (it’s actually been four years, since his All Day DeShay project in 2011), brandUn DeShay actually appears to be ready to release his long-in-the-works project goldUn Child sometime this year. After debuting the forthcoming EP’s first single, “Chi-bUya,” here at the DopeHouse the Los Angeles-via-Chicago transplant has now liberated its follow-up “yUng N On Da ComeUp.”
Similar to the visuals for “Chi-bUya,” as well as his recent double-offering “Tokyo/A GoldUn Ballad,” “yUng” is inspired by the video game series Final Fantasy (and even contains a sample from Final Fantasy 10). Or, at least the song is; the actual visual treatment has brandUn gallivanting around with some friends in a water park. Armed with a GoPro, brandUn and company treat themselves to a day off… you know, one of those things that I haven’t seen in a while now…
