The DopeHouse has taken pride in trying to provide a spotlight on some of music’s untapped talents, some of which have gone on to varying degrees. From Kendrick Lamar to Boogie, Isaiah Rashad to Vic Mensa, Bas to GrandeMarshall: each alum has left an indelible imprint in the music world after bubbling in their respective hometowns.
You can now add Cousin Stizz to that list. A native of Boston, Stizz caught the ‘House’s attention with his June 2015 mixtape Suffolk County, and his singles “No Bells” and “Shoutout” have caught a buzz (particularly, in the case of the latter, with Drake). So, naturally it would make sense that Stizz would be the first episode of the DopeHouse’ new series, A Day In The Life With…
A Day In The Life With… is to provide viewers with a look into the life of an upcoming artist, as cameras spend the day with them leading up to their statement-creating concerts. Follow Stizz as he spends the day in his hometown catching up with locals, speaking on his career trajectory and path, and much more, all while preparing for his sold-out headlining show at Boston’s venerable venue The Middle East. You’ll get familiar with what makes Stizz tick, and ultimately convinced why you should be on his music like the DopeHouse is.
