The DMV-reared Shy Glizzy is coming off a career year where, following his breakout song “Awwsome” in 2014, Jeezy joined him on his singles “Funeral” and was named as one of XXL’s 2015 Freshmen. Hoping to take things to that proverbial next level, Glizzy will release his new project For Trappers Only with producer Zaytoven on September 30th.
Zay and Shy connect for this latest track, “The First 48,” which serves as the latest offering from Trappers. It’s about the usual stuff: girls, guns, and gonads being suckled upon. The real star of the show, however, is Zaytoven’s hauntingly eerie backdrop, some perfect backing music for when you want to rap about getting your gonads suckled upon.
