Mac Miller – “Speed Racer” (prod. Chase N. Cashe)

Although he just released his third album, GO:OD AM, fans are still getting new music from Mac Miller. This time around Chase N. Cashe unearths a track from his hard drives between he and Larry Fisherman, “Speed Racer.”

A track from his younger and wilder days (ironic, considering that he isn’t even 25 yet), Mac Miller is bouncing in and out of Chase’s zigzagging backdrop that sounds straight from the Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde sessions while displaying some of his understated lyricism. While it’s great to un-deadstock tracks from the vault, why wasn’t this banger released earlier? The world will never know, I guess.
