Your Old Droog – “Before I Go”

blame it on Patrick Glynn September 28, 2015

Promoting a show in Philadelphia on October 7, Your Old Droog drops a pair of freestyles from the sound of the 2002 to 2006 era of rap in the form of one song, “Before I Go.” Droog has one of the most enjoyable voices and flows in hip-hop, so it’s nice to hear him drop it back to the era of the beginnings of Kanye West/Just Blaze/Jay Z connection as he raps over beats that sound similar to one the trio would make together.

Before you go see Droog in Philly, find your baggiest pants and your XXXL plain white tee and listen to Droog’s take on “tall tee rap” with “Before I Go” below.

UPDATE: The second beat is from Just Blaze’s Rhythm Roulette challenge! I knew it sounded like a Just Blaze beat!
