I was literally just building with the O.G. Matt Diamond about how ill Shabaam Sahdeeq is, and how consistent he lays down napalm sixteens that stick to your soul like Grandma’s soul food and ox-tail stew sticks to your ribs.
While I’ve been busy at home choosing which tapes and pieces of vinyl I plan on taking when I make my move out to Las Vegas next year, I stumbled upon some real gems, including this Rawkus 12″ with Eminem’s “Any Man” and Shabaam Sahdeeq & Pharoahe Monch‘s “WWIII” – both off that Rawkus: Soundbombing vol. 2 mixtape.
The proud, loyal Brooklynite has never faltered when it came to the pen, the pad and his brilliance – and S-Double has consistently kept his sword sharpened by surrounding himself with a-like minds such as the formerly mentioned Monch, Mr. Complex, DJ Spinna B and Apani B-Fly Emcee.
Now, Sahdeeq is strapping and gearing up as he readies for war with the brigade of wack rappers with his latest project, Modern Artillery – a 7-track affair featuring Ruste Juxx, Reef the Lost Cauze, the late great PumpkinHead and Torae.
