Now, enough about me. Folks, we are less than nine days away from the 11th annual A3C Festival in Atlanta! Five days of great music, great people, good fun and a cultural redevelopment of Hip-Hop music, arts, ideas, values and people. Running from October 8-12, confirmed performing artists include everyone (and I mean, everyone). Apart from De La Soul, Cam’ron, Just Blaze & Curren$y, fans will be able to catch 2 Chainz, Alex Wiley, Audio Push, Beanie Sigel, Edo. G, Jean Grae (<3), Kool Keith and many, many more.
Amongst the artists, you’ll also be rubbing shoulders with industry execs, A&Rs, *lovely* PR people, journalists and representatives (if that’s your thing), with lots of conferences, panels and film premieres to attend.
Of course, the place where everyone from me and you, your momma and your cousin wanna be at is the annual #DOPEHOUSE Catalina Wine Mixer, aka the A3C Dopehouse, which kicks off October 9. I won’t be there, unfortunately, but Shake and Meka will. If you’re beautiful, you probably will too. If you’re an Ed Hardy-shirt-wearing motherfucker with a Yankees FITTED brim that holds any resemblance of a horseshoe? Maybe you can come if you have a case of Pabst.
Anyway, back to matter at hand. iHipHop Distribution has put together a powerful mix to coincide with the upcoming festival. Clocking in at 50 tracks, A3C Vol. 5 showcases a massive crop of rising talents like Tunji Ige, Jay Dot Rain, Khori4, Bryant Stewart, Noveliss (of Clear Soul Forces), Ramaj Eroc, MaLLy, Trev Rich, and many more.
