Due to heavy rains during the week and potential rains from the impending Hurricane Joaquin, Afropunk Fest: Atlanta has been cancelled. All ticket holders will be immediately refunded.

As much as I’d love to do a little bit of reporting on this story, the Afropunk website issued out a nice visual with all the information you need. Read the reasoning for the cancellation and an official statement from the founder of the festival, Matthew Morgan, below.

Flying Lotus, D’Angelo, Death Grips, Public Enemy, Santigold and more were scheduled to perform at the festival. Stay tuned for information on next year’s Afropunk Fest.
