Daye Jack has been relatively dormant since his Soul Glitch LP released in late June, but the Atlanta artist reappears with a remix of Cardiknox’s “Doors,” where he adds two uplifting verses to the triumphant, optimistic single from the electronic duo from NYC.
Revolving around the hook of the song (“Oh, my life begins every time a door closes, another one opens.”), the new version of the song sounds like its enhancing Daye Jack’s verses as opposed to Jack’s verses bouncing off the original. When speaking with Pigeons and Planes, who premiered the remix, the duo said the collaboration came together “seamlessly.” They said, “We’re big fans of Daye’s work and were stoked at the opportunity to make our dream come to fruition and collaborate.”
