Revolving around the hook, “Blackest skin, I bet you wish you had the soap,” Rejjie Snow tells the story of a relationship on its last legs. Snow realizes the woman he’s been with doesn’t like who he is, but that might be, in part, due to the fact he’s crazy. While the female voice in the song, Rae Morris, admits her “body is open” to Rejjie, the Dublin native contemplates violence in order to get what he needs. Kaytranada’s production creates a nice, uptempo, stressful environment as we hear about Snow’s decisions with its clean drums and slapping bass. The best part about Rejjie’s final decision? He won’t change. He’d rather shoot up the place before he gave into your requests.
