The unheralded herald of TDE, Jay Rock, is having a pretty good 2015. Not only did his sophomore effort, 90059, finally get released, but it is also the highest-selling album of his career thus far. As such, he will hit the road with his brother-in-arms Kendrick Lamar on their Kunta’s Groove Sessions Tour as well.
Jay has now unveiled a new video from the album, following the Black Hippy- (and butt happy-) guested “Vice City,” “The Ways” with Sir. The video has some of Jay’s lady friends from “Vice City” at their, shall we say, workstations: the nudie bar. The video has all the amenities of a “typical” rap video: money being spent, cheeks flapping like a wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man, and the like. If you’re thinking that there’s some kind of underlying story to all of this, you’re sorely mistaken: instead, you’ll find Isaiah Rashad having way too much fun, and Jay breaking Chris Rock’s cardinal rule about strip club etiquette. All in a day’s work.
I just hope that the full version of the second half of “Easy Bake” falls out the sky sooner than later…
