A$AP Ferg has kept largely quiet following the release of his 2013 debut album Trap Lord and 2014 mixtape Ferg Forever. That does not mean he has not been working on music, however; he’s shined on tracks with Crystal Caines, OverDoz. and Meek Mill.
Recently appearing at JAY Z’s massive TIDAL X concert, Hot 97 caught up with Ferg on the red carpet where he divulged more information on the status of his second LP. “I promise you I’m not gonna pull a Dr. Dre and take 10 years to put out an album,” he says, also revealing the project’s title: Always Strive and Prosper, a nod to the late A$AP Yams. Hoping to put it out during the first quarter of 2016, Ferg promises that the album will be more personal that its predecessor… as well as having the raucous energy that made “Work” a party-starter.
